Vision: Through providing high quality equine assisted learning programs, UpReach strives towards excellence in its field. With the help of our equine friends, we are dedicated to enhancing quality of life for those we serve, by providing challenge, promoting independence, and celebrating success.
Meet Our Horse of the Month for July!Currently up for Adoption for Benefactor & Caretaker!
Meet Colin, a handsome eighteen-year-old Blonde haflinger gelding, who has been a part of the UpReach family since 2008 after being donated to the program by Chris Parker-DuBois. Colin's long flowing mane is his signature look and he has as much personality as he does hair. Colin has just returned to Therapeutic riding and Hippotherapy after a term's vacation so he should be plenty rested and ready for work! To learn more about Colin click here!
Chase The Dream for UpReach
Sarah Burt, a former volunteer and owner of Chase the Dream Baking Co. generously donated a $200 for UpReach. So moved by her time spent volunteering, Sarah lovingly donates a portion of each sale to UpReach TRC! Sarah found inspiration through the joy and new found confidence of the student riders and drivers with varying disabilities. While riding a horse named Chase she experienced an epiphany: to combine her love of baking, horses, and people. In addition, she schedules substitutes, runs the annual volunteer appreciation luncheon, coordinates community service hours and barn volunteers, as well as teaches therapeutic riding and driving lessons each week. Thank you Lauren for all your hard work and for helping to make UpReach such a success!
Allison F: Volunteer of Term 5!
Volunteers are the backbone of UpReach and without all our fabulous volunteers we would not be able to provide therapeutic equine programs. A big thank you to all of our volunteers, especially to Allison F, Volunteer of Term 5! Visit the Volunteer Recognition Page to see the previous volunteers of the term for 2013-2014.
